North View History

North View Elementary School is a member of the Muncie Community Schools. It is one of nine elementary schools serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students. The current enrollment is 333 students. The facility was built in 1962.

It houses an administrative office area, 14 classrooms and a gymnasium. The gym stage has been enclosed and converted to a library. The two shower rooms have been converted to a health clinic and a paper storage area.
In 2002 a modular unit housing four classrooms was added to the south wing of North View.

Our close proximity to Ball State University enables us to offer learning enrichment opportunities for North View students with programs such as EXEL, ED RDG, student teachers and graduate assistants.
